An Eye For The Landscape
Graham Humphreys is one of my oldest friends; we first worked together on posters for the Nightmare On Elm Street series, and his artwork has graced everything from album covers for The Cramps to artwork for The Evil Dead films. The interesting thing I find with artists is not just that they handle their medium beautifully, but that they generally have a great eye for a photograph. Only Graham could have turned a grim journey to the North of England into a kind of photographic odyssey. Here are just a few of the pictures he sent through. You can see his artwork here.

Blackpool, grimmest town on earth

Inevitably he stopped for a picnic

Crap town, great light

Fantastic, the Evil Dead cover was (for me as an exited teenager) THE video cover of the eighties. The ultimate forbidden candy, and had such a great feel to it, still timeless.
He has done some fantastic work.
