The Horrors

Reading & Writing

For your attention, coming in 2010 to coincide with the World Horror Convention, is ‘The Best of Best New Horror’, for which editor Stephen Jones has dug out my old story ‘Norman Wisdom And The Angel Of Death’, a tale that will mean absolutely nothing to anyone from outside England and Albania, a country which apparently holds Norman in god-like reverence. Also, I have returned to my dark roots (I must get those seen to) and have just completed a fresh volume of all-new stories, to be entitled ‘The Horrors’.
This wil be my eleventh collection, and contains the kind of mean-spirited japes that I hope you have come to expect from me. Fear not, for I shall not fail you.

Well, the man has taste – that’s one of my favourite short stories you’ve written. Along with the one about the stand in teacher (paint it black? Or was it called something else and referenced the song? I can’t remember – getting old!)

Waiting -eagerly- for the new volume. I’ve been reading & enjoying this anthology for four years now, and it made me discover Bryant & May (via a write-up in the opening overview). It’s always a treat.
