Thank you so much….. I missed Bryant and May and you brought them back, really enjoying the new book, nearly finished. More please. How do you find out all those facts, especially about Kings Cross. Are you sorry now that you did not make John and Arthur younger..so that they could have gone on longer. Arthur Bryant must be really pretty ancient by now. Thanks again. My favourite detectives they are so unique .

Dear Mr. Fowler, you’ve ruined me for life. I’m desperate for these lovely books and the bookstore’s an hour away by train, it’s raining, and they don’t have Full Dark House either, even if they DO have The Water Room. My resolution of the year was to stop buying books, as this one tiny room I’m renting isn’t going to accommodate them – but if we consider what good intentions pave the way for, I think I’m headed down that road very quickly indeed. On top of Kodaly musicianship studies, the Tibetan language, and sawing enough acrylic sheets to make the floor look like the bottom of a snow globe, I’m going to have to start studying up on all these wonderful historic references and the like, and reading the rest of these books.

Why in the world wasn’t history presented in little gems of fact like this? I’d remember more than just the Pangkor Treaty of 1874 by now!

I have finished B & M On The Loose today, it was, as ever, wonderful, i do hope that Off The Rails won’t be the last we hear of B & M. How about Arthur Bryants Stories Of London next?, what do you think?, a history book full of all your wonderful facts that you have used in all your B & M books?. Judging by the previous comments everyone loves reading about the historical sites, and the unusual facts that aren’t found in any other history books. I hope to read your biography Paperboy soon- i’m hinting for Christmas!!!. Julie : )

Hi Chris

I’m about 200 pages into Bryant & May On The Loose, and as usual i’m speeding through it!, evert time i get one of your books (and i have them all!) it takes me about 3 days to read them!!.
I’m really enjoying Bryant & May, but wondered if you plan some more horror stories as well?.
I wrote to you quite a few years ago now, asking about your back catalogue, (i’m in LIVERPOOL),and you sent me a lovely letter and a postcard (picturing a London bus!), which i still have!, and now i have everything you have written, and often re-read them – sorry Chris you can’t keep up!!!.
Keep on keeping on! you bring me great pleasure!

You are costing me a great deal of money. First I stumbled across Bryant & May (I don’t remember where) and fell in love with them, eagerly consuming all ongoing books, as well as researching your earlier work and finding Bryant & May lurking within. Not only have I spent money buying each book (for me as well as for friends), but I have had to buy hefty dictionaries to look up The numerous mystery words you pen. You provide layers of fun in your writing — thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have nearly finished your most recent Bryant and May On the Loose. I take my time over them because I enjoy them so much! I have read them all and borrowed most from the library, but now I am buying them because they all deserve a second reading! Thank you so much for providing me with hours of pleisure reading about these loveable well drawn characters who never cease to make me smile! Also I am learning so much about our capital and am able to bore people with all the fascinating facts I am picking up! Keep up the good work and long may our two detectives continue to entertain us.

Love Bryant & May – if ever they were to hit the TV Screen Brian Murphy(from George & Mildred fame)would be a good Arthur. Not sure who could play John!

Adicted to this crazy team after just one book, then it was on to Audible to download all I could get, then to Apple store to buy new I Pod Touch to use to listen to them while driving, now it is an issue when i dont get to chillout listening tothe home spun wisdom wit and smarts of the great pair, please keep them coming I was a huge Patrick O Brian fan and now I have a new great author. Keep up the good work
