Why Aren’t Our Political Debates This Much Fun?

Film, Observatory, The Arts

America knows that sometimes democratic argument needs to be made more fun. The admirable Jon Stewart VS The arrogant and clearly deranged Bill O’Reilly featured here in an impartial debate until some arsehole copyright agreement kicked in and removed it, so now there’s no free debate. Well, that’s one in the eye for democracy. FYI, Stewart was good but weakened when he turned serious points into jokes, O’Reilly was unbelievably nasty and self-righteous, and came over as actually mentally ill.

But you can’t see it again. Rats.

I missed this one as the wife and I are steadfastly trying to beat away a steath virus that just won’t take the hint. Chance of season weather combined with overly warm 5/6 grade girls volley ball gym exposure.
Also probably brought on by stress from the real political campaign we’re having over here. Half of this country has gone bonkers over the past few years.

Which half, Dan? No, don’t answer that. Hope the granddaughter’s team did you proud, at least. We are still having shirt sleeve weather with the sun shining brightly. We’re trying not to be proud or any other of the deadly sins since we don’t want it to end before it has to.

Thank you so much, Snowy. Always there when we need you. The ‘Romney thing’ was hilarious.
