Unnerving Posters

Film, Observatory

Children and very sharp knives can happily co-exist in European street posters. Perhaps it’s better to teach kids the correct use like this.

This one’s deliberately provocative, obviously, but still unsettling.

  1. Dan Terrell says:

Here in the States #1 wouldn’t fly; too much contact with a child. Is #2 an advert for Miss & Wesson? Gives a whole new meaning to “Can I have your doll and take it home?”

  2. Helen Martin says:

Is that phrase in the alcove “Fortune favours the audacious?” The top one could fly if there was a definite wedding ring on his hand and there was a little more space between the two of them. Children should learn the proper use of tools. If you let them play with perfectly safe blunt ones they won’t have a proper respect for the real thing.
