Little Dot

The Arts

The polka dot-obsessed red-headed octogenerian artist Yayoi Kusama has a new exhibition at the Tate Modern, and it looks utterly bonkers. Love this installation and can’t wait to see the rest.

Fascinating, and what must it be like in fact!

Wish that could be projected, quiet terrific. Let us know how it is, when you go. I reminds me on first viewing of Pointillism and Seurat’s blue iris or Starry Night by van Gogh. Another great post.

A couple of years back he had an exhibition in Wellington, and to celebrate, the whole outside of the art gallery was covered in dots. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see it, but I really like some of his work.

Gretta, Kusama is a woman not a man. A very prolific artist but you never get sick of those dots. She seems to have been around forever as I can remember her back in the sixties. She must be well into her eighties now.

ack Thank you, Brian. I wish I could blame my mistake on something other than pure ignorance on my part, but alas…

Don’t worry about it, Gretta. My son had to tell me that Pat Metheny was a man.
