The Memory Of Blood

Bryant and May

It looks as if there’s going to be a disparity of dates between US and UK editions of the ninth Bryant & May novel, with Transworld in the UK launching in September and Random House in the US pushing back to March next year. Meanwhile, here’s the US cover in a rather fetching mauve (now there’s a word you don’t hear much!)

They have an error on the cover. “The Bryant and May off the Rails”????

  2. J. Folgard says:

I usually prefer the UK covers but, copy error notwithstanding, I rather like this one with its Punch & Judy theme!

I will refrain from comment until I see the UK version – oh, but we did, with the two walking along the beach toward a Punch and Judy in the distance. UK still wins by a nose. Mauve, or mahve as I’ve heard it pronounced, is a lovely colour. In Washington state I’ve heard it called lilac, pronounced lye’-lack.

Finally those goofy crates and boxes are gone. I like this one. Grand Guignol in light purple. Lavender, lilac, mauve, whatever.

  5. March? Frig. Are they pushing it back for Canada as well? If so, I can completely justify a September trip to London purely for books.

  6. Helen Martin says:

I wouldn’t denigrate the crates and boxes until I’d read it. Who knows what the role of crates and boxes is? Well, Chris does, it’s rhetorical.

  7. Leigh says:

Now will that change your dates for visiting NYC later this year?
