Black Static Takes A Great Leap Forward

Reading & Writing

Black Static magazine is the best horror fiction & review magazine on the market, bar none. A sister magazine to Interzone (SF) and Crimewave (crime), it has been quietly upping its game over the last two years, and with issue 16 has exploded into full colour with better paper stock and beautiful illustrations.

Over the next two issues, it will also be running the TWENTY winning entries from the Campaign For Real Fear, together with an article explaining how we voted and why.

Interzone has long been recognised as the finest SF fiction magazine in the world, worth buying for its superb review section alone, and now Black Static feels as if it has hit the same high-quality tipping point, becoming a definitive and essential purchase for everyone interested in horror. With Crimewave going from strength to strength, it looks like this trio really has the market cornered. If you haven’t checked them out, or haven’t read Black Static for a while, now’s the time to take a look. Check out the contents here.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. It’s a great magazine, and you’ll be able to say you bought it before it sold out and became too famous!
