I found this surprising little number in hot pink lurking in Rathbone Place off Oxford Street, next to a Victorian pub. Quite why the artist had decided on a submissive man and a woman with a riding crop to adorn an office hoarding, we won't know. But it pays to keep a camera on you when walking the backstreets..Posted in

Golly gosh, nothing as interesting as this in Somerset! I believe it would brighten my town enormously. I recall having a hot pink hula hoop when very young.

I was in Yeovil many years ago - got beaten up for being a "Posh English Bastard"
Which sentiment I cautiously approve.
Except that I was born in Glasgow, and went to university in Ireland.
Kind of hard to mistake me for English?

Alan, I apologise most sincerely for the misery caused in Yeovil. I live in Yeovil, and I'm afraid there are still some terribly uneducated, homophobic fools lurking in the hedgerows! My mother was Jewish, my father was Irish. I too have experienced some insulting behaviour. The expression 'water...duck's back' is important to remember.I actually come from Richmond upon Thames.

Life is so much more interesting over there across the pond. Here in Boston, you'd have to go through 5 community board meetings, 3 permits from the town, put it out for bids to the unions, and it wouldn't be painted anyway because of community sentiment. Thanks, London, for having that kind of out there side. (Like in Christopher Fowler's fabulous books!)
