The Last Post

Observatory

That’s it, you lot. I’m burned out, saddle sore and totally cream-crackered. Tired of snow, sleet, slush and gritting dramas. I’m going to the place in the picture above. I’m Going Where The Sun Shines Brightly (see what I did there?)* There is a good chance that I will fail to find a Wi Fi connection here, especially as one of my destinations is euphemistically noted as having ‘intermittent electricity’. What’s the chance of finding a twin-pin socket sticking out of a sand dune?

(I couldn’t stay offline, as you can now see. I know, it’s an illness, I should be relaxing but writers write…)

*Reference to the film ‘Summer Holiday’ (1963) which also gave rise to my short story of the same name.

Mars??? Well alright, if you must, and do say hello to that fellow with the tentacles and the bubble over his head for me, will you?

Intermittent electricity eh? You will survive! Enjoy your holiday and have a great time digging out interesting facts (which may or may not be dredged up in writing later on.) Onward ho!

I was rather assuming you were going to locate the “Blue Water” sapphire……
