Schoolboy Fantasies

‘Paperboy’, the hardback, has now sold out. The good news is that the paperback is only a few weeks away. The bad news is that it won’t have the end-papers of my notebooks in. One of the things I mentioned in the book is that I got to fulfil some pathetic schoolboy fantasies – writing a show, recording a (terrible, terrible) pop song, being in the Pan Books of Horror, standing in for James Bond and appearing in Batman comics as a villain.
I was turning out cupboards and found the vinyl single, which I promise you no-one will ever hear again. But I also found these, a Bond still and the Batman comic, for your amusement.

Awesome! Probably a tad disturbing for you to run-across un-bidden, but awesome as far as we’re concerned.

Personally I’d love to hear the “awful” etc. single. Couldn’t be any worse than MacArthur Park, now could it?
“Someone left the cake out in the rain” indeed! Harumph!

Who painted the Batman strip? John Bolton? Certainly looks like his artwork…
