    Apsley House, London and Wellington?

  2. admin says:

Right place, but who is it?

  3. Helen Martin says:

It would have to be Napoleon, but what is he holding? It looks like either a ball or an apple (I was thinking the golden apples) but it looks as if there is a figure dancing on top of it.

  4. admin says:

Yes, it’s Little Legs himself, given to the Duke of Wellington, but what IS he holding?I’ve no idea. I wonder if she turns around and music plays…

  5. Terrence says:

    A statue of Nike.

  6. admin says:

My pal Bal tells me: That thing in the hand of the Napoleon statue in Apsley house is the figure of Victory (Ha!) and the other hand he holds the sceptre of power (the statue is by Canova). So now we know.
