Happiness Is Julie Andrews

London

Okay, enough depressing mad people. Here’s a bunch of commuters doing something far more useful and life-affirming. I love the big finish. Thanks for this, Ian!

That is delightful and just can’t help but bring a smile to your face.

Except can you imagine the miserable sods at London railway stations who would either try to break it up (‘National Rail doesn’t permit outbursts of joy at any station’), or complain because they’d been delayed catching the 5:27 to Guilford?

Not forgetting London termini are now filled with retail outlets messing up the space, and overstuffed with pointless stands and flotsom.

In London we are warned to ‘mind the gap’.
In Antwerp they appear to be encouraged to ‘fill the gap’……
    If only….
…cannot visualise it happening at Kings Cross!!

This has happened in London though, Liverpool Street in January for a mobile phone ad, http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/dance/

Actually the mobile ad ripped off a number of earlier real-life events staged at different stations – another example of crap ad agencies being unable to think of anything original.

Must admit, I loathe the T-Mobile one. The real flash mob ones that have been done around the world however I have nothing but admiration for. Marvellous idea!!

I have a silly grin and am feeling strangely uplifted. This was a great antidote for the creepy stupid guy explaining condoms with cream!
