Discovering More London

London

So you’ve been down to the South Bank and walked through Regent’s Park, but when was the last time you truly went exploring in London, from Petticoat Lane to Portobello Road, from Cecil Court to Lincoln’s Inn Fields? It’s too easy to stay within familiar postcodes, and there’s so much fun to be had from reminding yourself how truly diverse the city can be…

Come now… Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is something from your trip to India last month, isn’t it…

    …isn’t it?

Yes, I quite agree. The best way to explore is on foot, whilst always remembering to look above street level now and again, at least. I’ve noticed that different areas
seem to retain their own distinct atmospheres somehow, which can change a lot
within a street or two . For some reason this appears to be much more noticeable
than other cities.Enough of this- I’m getting like Iain Sinclair!
